Datuk may be impeached

ALOR SETAR: A High Court here will decide today whether to initiate impeachment proceedings against a Datuk over his testimony in defence of his son, who is on trial over the murder of a female jogger nearly nine years ago.

Kedah prosecution unit head Salim Soib had asked for entrepreneur Datuk Jaafar Jamaludin to be impeached following discrepancies in his police statement and his testimony.
