PETALING JAYA: The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) will continue to propose improvements to the Sedition Act 1948 despite the Government’s decision to retain the law.
NUCC panel member Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said the council would not be scrapped as its functions extended beyond drafting the National Harmony Act, which was initially expected to replace the Sedition Act.
