KUALA LUMPUR: A senior executive denied in a High Court that he had tried to influence Ahmad Sarbaini Mohamed (pic), the Selangor Customs assistant director who was found dead while in the custody of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in 2011, to change his confession over accepting bribes.
Wan Zainalabidin Wan Zaki, 44, who is a senior executive (export and operation) at Schenker Logistics (M) Sdn Bhd, disagreed to a suggestion by Senior Federal Counsel (SFC) Kamal Azira Hassan on Wednesday that the purported calls and meetings with the deceased from April 4, 2011 had pressured the deceased to change his confession from implicating him over the bribery.
