KUALA LUMPUR: Facing the impossible odds of raising RM3mil in ransom for the life of her husband, the desperate wife of kidnapped fish breeder Chan Sai Chiun is appealing to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for assistance.

So far, 42-year-old Chin Pek Nyuen has only managed to gather about RM100,000 from friends and family, and is fearful that her husband will be killed by his Abu Sayyaf captors if their demands are not met by the end of November, the deadline given to her.
