Surendran pleads not guilty to sedition charge

KUALA LUMPUR: Lawyer N. Surendran has claimed trial to a charge of sedition over a press statement made in connection with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's second sodomy case.

Surendran, 48, was charged on Tuesday at the Sessions Court with releasing a seditious press statement entitled "Court of Appeal's Fitnah 2 written judgement is flawed, defensive and insupportable".
