Condo penthouse 'fire' uncovers syabu-making lab

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department Senior Asst Supt M. Letchumanan said a group of people was busy processing syabu when the smoke detector was triggered.

"They escaped before we arrived after being alerted by the smoke. There was no fire but the smoke detector was triggered as a result of several chemicals being processed," he said.
