WATER is one of the main contributors to slope failure, and so it pays to monitor slopes during the rainy season. This, however, does not mean that slope monitoring is not essential during dry days. In fact, dry weather is a good time to carry out monitoring as it will be easier to spot water seepage or leakages. Once the rainy weather starts, it will become more difficult to conduct monitoring.
