A WOMAN who attempted to sell her 14-year-old daughter to three men from Haryana state in north India for Rs50,000 (RM2,810) was arrested by the police. The three men and a neighbour who tried to broker the deal were also detained, reported Makkal Osai.
The girl, the eldest of six siblings, is a school dropout. Her father is a painter while her mother, Chhayabai Kandhare, 40, is a scrap-collector.
