Dewan Rakyat passes motion of thanks for royal address


KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat has passed the motion of thanks for the royal address on Tuesday (Feb 10) after all ministries and the Prime Minister's Department completed their respective debates.

The motion was approved through a majority voice vote after being debated from Jan 20, followed by a winding-up session from the ministries starting Feb 4.

Among the issues raised during the debate were the government's efforts to combat corruption more holistically and comprehensively, the implementation of flexible work policies and the rollout of the National Education Blueprint 2026-2035.

On Jan 19, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, graced the opening of the First Meeting of the Fifth Session of the 15th Parliament.

According to the Dewan Rakyat calendar, the session will continue with the tabling of Bills and other government business.
