KUANTAN: The police will take action against those who spread unfounded rumours of missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 on the social media, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
He urged social media users to exercise sensitivity towards the families of passengers and crewmembers of the flight, saying that some of the rumours posted online were excessive.
