ALOR SETAR: Two 19-year-old suspects have been remanded by the police over the death of three sisters at Kampung Alor Senibong and Kampung Padang Petani, near here.
The suspects were detained on Jan 15 to facilitate into investigations. The police have applied for a remand order at the Alor Setar Court under Section 117 of the Penal Code on Thursday before Senior Registrar Wan Nor Fazila.
Sisters Norsyafika Nadia Rusdi, 14, Nur Izzati Husna Rusdi, 12, and Puteri Nurul Akma Rusdi, three, from Kampung Alor Senibong, had gone out together on a motorcycle on Nov 29 last year.
Their mother made a report the next day that they had gone missing.
Norsyafika Nadia’s body was found face down in an abandoned padi field in their village at around 3.45pm on Nov 30.
The bodies of her two sisters were found floating in a Muda Agriculture Development Authority (Mada) canal in Kampung Padang Petani, some 3.5km away, at around 4.50pm on Dec 1.
