No leak of SPM Maths paper, say cops

KUALA LUMPUR: City police have denied allegations that there was a leak of the SPM Mathematics exam papers.

City police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Mohmad Salleh said police received a report on Nov 21, claiming that the Mathematics Paper 2, was leaked during a exam-preparation seminar at a mosque at Setiawangsa here.

"We classified the case under Section 8(1)(e) of the Official Secrets Act 1972 and recorded the statements of 56 people including those who attended the seminar.

"Our investigations revealed that there was no leak as alleged, but the sample questions shared were based on previous SPM exam questions," he told reporters at the City police headquarters Wednesday.
