Wildlife researchers drawing up conservation plans for Sunda clouded leopard


KOTA KINABALU: Wildlife researchers are now in a better position in drawing up conservation plans one of Sabah’s most elusive wildlife, the Sunda clouded leopard, with a recent capture of the creature.

The 25kg male animal was trapped at the Lower Kinabatangan region in Sabah’s east coast and fitted with a satellite tracking collar before being released as part of a collaborative project between the Sabah Wildlife Department (SWD) and research NGOs WildCRU and the Danau Girang Field Centre (DGFC).
