Lahad Datu district police chief denies they knew about intrusion


KOTA KINABALU: Lahad Datu district police chief Supt Samsuddin Mat denied that they knew about the planned Lahad Datu intrusion two weeks before the militants' arrival in Kampung Tanduo on Feb 12.

Samsuddin volunteered to be a witness at the Royal Commission of Inquiry after reading about a testimony form Lahad Datu district officer Zulkifli Nasir saying that police knew about the planned intrusion before their arrival in Kampung Tanduo in Feb 12, and had informed him about it.
