Operation to inspect and close dirty food premises starts on July 1

PUTRAJAYA:  More than 4,200 enforcement officers will be involved in a nationwide operation to inspect and close dirty food premises starting July 1.

 Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S.Subramaniam said on Friday, food premises with rats and dirty utensils would be closed under Section 11 of Food Act 1983 where the owner could be jailed not more five years or fine or both.
