PETALING JAYA: Education groups have called on the Government to consider the possibility of re-employing retired English teachers, in view of the declining standard of the language in schools.
Parent Action Group for Education Malaysia (Page) chairman Datin Noor Azimah Abdul Rahim said there was a lack of quality English teachers in schools today and that roping in retirees to teach students and train teachers would be a good alternative.
