Flood victims refusing help hinder evacuation operation

KUALA TERENGGANU: The biggest problem faced by the Terengganu Civil Defence Department (JPAM) in its flood evacuation operation is the flood victims' refusal to leave their flood-hit houses, JPAM Officer Lt Nor Asmawi Abdul Mutalib said.

“This is the biggest problem we're facing...so, we do hope the victims will care more for their personal safety and evacuate quickly when asked to do so,” he said.
