One less beautiful tree: The raintree has been cut into pieces to be carted away.
TAIPING: Residents here have fought hard to protect the iconic Lake Gardens raintrees from having to make way for development, but one was lost when a heavy rainstorm uprooted it.
The raintree was one of 113 tagged by the municipal council.
