‘Detective Lim’ stays free

PUTRAJAYA: Actor Farid Amirul Hisham Wu Abdullah (pic), better known as Detective Lim in the police television series Gerak Khas, is a free man after the Court of Appeal here upheld his acquittal over a charge of stealing two books worth almost RM200 three years ago.

A three-member panel, headed by Datuk Abdul Malik Ishak, unanimously dismissed the prosecution’s appeal against the Kuala Lumpur High Court decision to acquit and discharge Farid Amirul.
