PORT DICKSON: The national-level Deepavali celebration will be held in Sungai Petani, Kedah, on Nov 13, Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim.
He said the location was chosen because it was away from major urban areas and was part of the strategy to bring leaders closer to the people.
