Blatter receives Datuk Seri title


KUANTAN: FIFA president Sepp Blatter is among the 1,211 recipients of titles and awards from Sultan Ahmad Shah Sultan Abu Bakar in conjunction with the ruler’s 80th birthday.

The list is headed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who will be bestowed with the Darjah Kerabat Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Dihormati (DK) while Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob will be the first recipient of a new award – the Sri Diraja Sultan Ahmad Shah (SDSA) which carries the title “Datuk Seri DiRaja.”

Blatter will receive the honorary Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) award, which carries the title Datuk Seri.

Other SSAP recipients are Tengku Datuk Nong Soraya Sultan Abu Bakar, Tengku Datuk Sulaiman Sultan Abu Bakar, Foreign Minister Datuk Anifah Aman, Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Hussin Ismail, Malaysian Royal Customs director-general Datuk Mohd Khalid Yusuf, army chief Gen Datuk Zulkifeli Mohd Zin, Court of Appeal judge Datuk Wira Abu Samah Nordin, Pahang state secretary Datuk Muhammad Safian Ismail, Malaysia Airlines managing director Datuk Tengku Azmil Zahruddin Raja Abdul Aziz and Proton Holdings Bhd chairman Datuk Mohd Nadzmi Salleh.

There were three recipients of the Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP) which carries the title Datuk.

The three are Malaysian Royal Customs deputy director-general Datuk Md Yusop Mansor, Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry secretary-general Datin Madinah Mohamad and East Coast Economic Region Development Council chief executive officer Datuk Jebasingam Issace John.

Twenty-six people will receive the Darjah Sultan Ahmad Shah (DSAP) that also carries the title Datuk.

They include Road Transport Department director-general Datuk Mohd Solah Hassan, Immigration Department director-general Datuk Alias Ahmad, Information Department director-general Datuk Abdullah Morad, MCA central committee member Datuk Ti Lian Ker and Sirim Bhd president Datuk Yahaya Ahmad.

Singapore High Commissioner to Malaysia T. Jasudasen was awarded the honorary DSAP.

Deputy Higher Education Minister Dr Hou Kok Chung, ex-journalist of The Star Datin Faridah Begum and sports commentator Hasbullah Awang are among the 92 recipients of the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) that carries the title Datuk.

Some 59 recipients will receive the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP), 179 the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP), 157 the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC), 185 the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) and 382 the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK).
