Residents of the Portuguese Settlement in Ujong Pasir in Malacca having fun splashing water on each other during the annual traditional water festival of Intrudu yesterday.
Intrudu, which means introduction or coming before in the local Cristao language (a 16th century Portuguese dialect still spoken at the settlement) is celebrated on the Sunday preceding Ash Wednesday.
