MIRI: The body of the third victim in the landslide at a timber camp near Medamit, about 130km from Limbang town, was recovered Sunday, police said.

Limbang Police public order division chief Insp Khairul Ridzuan Ahmad said Monday the body was found at 11am and was brought to the Limbang Hospital.

Three people were killed and eight others injured in the incident that took place at about 7.30pm after continuous rain in the area.

The dead are identified as Rinald Agillia, 38, a Philippine national, and Sabahans Jeseil Ed, 26 and Wilson, 30. The incident took place just a week after a landslide at the side of Canada Hill here which killed two petrol station workers.

Several landslides in Bintulu had also severed a section of the Pan-Borneo trunk road at KM45, Bintulu-Tatau Road, stranding hundreds of vehicles for hours. -- Bernama
