KUALA LUMPUR: Political leaders from both sides of the spectrum have started crisscrossing the country as they stepped up the pace to face the 12th general election, which is expected within a month.

These trips have been going on almost non-stop to both bolster the morale of the grassroots and check on the party machinery to ensure it is ready for the elections. Both Barisan Nasional and Opposition leaders have also been using these visits to iron out hitches and hiccups.
