State secretary gets highest Sarawak award


KUCHING: State secretary Datuk Wilson Baya Dandot heads the list of 496 recipients to be conferred state awards in conjunction with Sarawak Governor Tun Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng’s 86th birthday today. 

He is the sole recipient of the Datuk Amar Bintang Kenyalang award, which carries the title Datuk Amar. 

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan and PFM Capital Sdn Bhd chairman Tan Sri Arshad Ayub will receive the Panglima Negara Bintang Sarawak (PNBS), which carries the title Dato Sri. 

Four recipients of the Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang (PGBK) award, which carries the title Datuk, are 1st Division Army commander Lt Jen Datuk Muhamad Effendi Mustaffa, Assistant Sports and Agriculture Minister Dublin Unting, Malaysia Airlines managing director Datuk Idris Jala and Sarawak Commissioner of Police DCP Datuk Talib Jamal. 

Infrastructure Development and Communications permanent secretary Wan Kassim Tuanku Zubir and urban planning advisor in the Planning and Resource Management Ministry Abang Kassim Abang Zawawi are recipients of the Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak (DJBS), which carries the title Datu. 

Among those receiving the Pingat Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak (PSBS), which carries the title Dato, is tycoon Tan Sri Ting Pek Khiing’s wife Wong Sui Chuo.
