Testimony to quality of Tamil schools

ABOUT 50% of Indian students studying in universities were educated in Tamil schools, which is testimony to the vernacular schools' quality, MIC Youth education committee chief P. Kamalanathan said.

In a news report in Tamil Nesan, he also said that the MIC was doing its best to ensure that Tamil students did not have any hindrances in pursuing their educational goals.

“With the support of parents, students must always be prepared to strive for greater success,” he said during a UPSR workshop held at the Sithambaram Pillai Tamil School in Teluk Intan, Perak, on Saturday.

Makkal Osai reported that Banting residents would be able to see a solution to the traffic congestion in the town after a survey by the Works Ministry was carried out and the necessary traffic adjustments made in three months' time.

The newspaper reported that Kuala Langat MP Datuk Seri Shafie Salleh said this during his visit to Banting on Saturday morning.
