MIC elections: Palanivel gets 185 nominations, Subra gets 2

KUALA LUMPUR: MIC vice-president Datuk G. Palanivel, who is challenging Datuk S. Subramaniam in the race for the party’s deputy presidency, has received more nominations than the incumbent. 

MIC elections committee chairman Datuk K. Vijayanathan said Palanivel, the deputy Women, Family and Community Development minister, received 185 nominations. There were only two nominations for Subramaniam.
