KUALA LUMPUR: The Government wants more local contractors to take part in the water transfer project under the RM3.8bil loan deal with Japan. 

Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had directed the Energy, Water and Communications Minister to ensure more local contractors were involved.
