KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has not given the go-ahead to Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) to increase water tariffs in Selangor by 15% in 2006.

Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik said a request to review the Selangor water tariffs by the state’s new concessionaire did not mean an automatic increase in charges.
