Charges defective, says counsel


KUALA LUMPUR: The defence team in the case of housewife Yim Pek Ha, who is accused of abusing her maid, raised a preliminary objection at a Sessions Court yesterday, saying that three charges against her were defective. 

Lead counsel Jagjit Singh said the charges did not specify the exact time and date in which Yim was said to have caused grievous hurt to Nirmala Bonat by using a hot iron and splashing hot water on her.
