CBT issue disclosed in report

KUALA LUMPUR: A former Perwaja Steel Sdn Bhd senior group general manager testified that he had prepared a report confirming a misappropriation of funds and a breach of trust involving the supposed RM76.4mil payment to NKK Corporation, Japan.  

Ahmad Zaini Othman, 47, said he had prepared the Group Financial Issues report in December 1995 after he had obtained written confirmation from NKK Corporation managing director N. Otani that the Japanese corporation had never requested for the payment.
