KUALA LUMPUR: The Government hopes to buy 10 helicopters for the Fire and Rescue Department under the Ninth Malaysia Plan, with Sabah and Sarawak getting one craft each, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting said.
“We need at least one helicopter to be stationed in each of the states because we cannot be flying them from here,” he said.
