Horseback riders to join devotees

KUALA LUMPUR: The chariot procession for the Thaipusam festival this year will, for the first time, be led by a team of horseback riders, including a monkey. 

Forest Horse Riding Park’s owner, known by his moniker “Big Chief”, said his team of 12 riders, including himself, a monkey, 11 horses and two ponies would join Hindu devotees for the Thaipusam celebration on Thursday.
