KUALA LUMPUR: People who testify in white-collar crime cases are to be given protection under a proposed law to ensure that they do not suffer from reprisals.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said they would be deemed to be prosecution witnesses and would be accorded legal protection, preventing them from being sacked or facing other punitive action by their employers.
