KUALA LUMPUR: Cadavers should be the primary source of liver transplants and where living organ donors are used they should be related to the recipient, according to a consensus reached by a group of professionals in the field.
Malaysian Liver Foundation (MLF) president and consultant hepatologist Datuk Dr Ismail Merican said the group would forward suggestions for clinical practice guidelines within a month to the Health Ministry for deliberation.
