Jobless man charged with murder


MALACCA: A jobless man has been charged with murdering medical attendant Noor Luqman Mahayuddin, son of the Henry Gurney reform school deputy superintendent, by tying his hands to the steering wheel of his car and setting fire to the vehicle. 

Nomezam Apandy Abu Hasan, 24, of Kampung Seri Minyak, Merlimau, who was brought before magistrate Elesabet Paya Wan yesterday, was alleged to have committed the offence at Batu 7, Bukit Lintang, Tiang Dua at 3am on June 23.
