Abdullah touched by PM’s statement

KUALA LUMPUR: The Deputy Prime Minister said he was touched by Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s statement on Thursday that he had passed his two-month stint as Acting Prime Minister “with flying colours” and was capable of making wise decisions. 

“I appreciate his statement, and I am grateful to Allah because when I was the Acting Prime Minister no matters that could bring harm to the party and the country arose,” Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said after chairing the Barisan Nasional’s special meeting on its golden jubilee celebrations at Putra World Trade Centre yesterday.
