SUBANG JAYA: Women and Family Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil has called on women voters to be wary of electing any leader who uses religion to disempower them.
“I do not know of any one religion which disempowers women. Hence, we must be wary of negative interpretations,” she said yesterday after opening the Caucus for Malaysian Chinese Women Leaders’ inaugural workshop on Knowledgeable Women in the 21st Century.
