ESTEFANiA Leon is a young Venezuelan comedian but she often grappled with the challenge of finding laughter amid overwhelming tragedy.

In 2017, as she lived in Caracas during the peak of Venezuela’s economic crisis, protests swept the nation, food shortages left millions hungry, and hyperinflation obliterated savings overnight.
