Malaysia is fighting invaders with local fish

OVER RM24,000 worth of fingerlings of local native fish species were recently released into Tasik Varsiti in Universiti Malaya (UM).

Among the species were ikan lampam sungai (river carp), ikan terbul (common barb), ikan kerai (a type of carp), baung (a type of catfish), and ikan kelah, also known as mahseer.
