Honorary degrees for outstanding M’sians


Scrolls in hands: A total of 577 graduates were awarded their degrees in HWUM’s first in-person graduation ceremony in two years.

FOUR prominent Malaysians have recently received honorary degrees from Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (HWUM).

Malaysian squash legend Datuk Nicol David, Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) senior vice president Datuk Seri Michael Yam, architect Serina Hijjas, and Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) immediate past president Tan Suee Chieh were awarded the recognition at the varsity’s graduation ceremony, which was held from Feb 11 to 13.
