First time’s a charm

COVID-19 and physical distancing has not put a damper to a 12-year-old’s goal of winning a national-level poetry competition.Dhaanniya Mary Andrew (pic) from SK Subang Jaya, Selangor, who represented the state, has emerged winner of the annual English Language Unity Carnival’s Poetry Recitation Competition Primary School Level Category.

She will receive a trophy and a certificate for her effort.
