Good command of English

I REFER to the report “English mastery vital to the nation” (SundayStar, March 5).

Tan Sri Yong Poh Kon, a product of an English-medium school (my alma mater - Methodist Boys’ School Kuala Lumpur) has hit the nail on the head when he stressed the importance of mastery and a good command of English for school, college and university students at the Star Media Group’s Power Talks business series recently.
