Milestone in Tamil language learning

Language growth: Kamalanathan says that apart from building more schools, there are plans to set up a Tamil research centre.

THIS year marks the 200th year Tamil language education has been in our country. To commemorate this milestone, the government has lined up various events and initiatives.

Deputy Education Minister Datuk P. Kamalanathan said, “We are going to produce a coffee-table book to mark this 200-year anniversary and launch it on Oct 21.”
