BACK when English teacher Teoh Goay See taught in SMK Raja Ali, Kuala Lumpur, the Newspaper-in-Education (NiE) contest was one of the yearly highlights for the English Language panel there.

“We always looked forward to the contest and we encouraged all the students to take part. The teachers were very supportive. We felt that this was a way to encourage students to read and do research,” she said.
