TEACHERS at schools enrolled in the Yayasan AMIR Trust Schools Programme have recorded strong progress in using new teaching methods to nurture an environment for creative and collaborative learning in Malaysian government school classrooms.

Findings from lesson observations in April and May this year saw increased demonstration of key competencies such as effective lesson planning, use of questioning strategies that promote student thinking, catering to students’ different abilities and learning styles, and the use of collaborative and cooperative learning techniques in the classroom.
