The Tunku Abdul Rahman Foundation has allocated RM540,000 to aid poor students who will join the next intake at local public institutions of higher learning in September.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the foundation would provide the students with RM250 per month regardless of their academic achievement. Around 200 students will initially receive the assistance.
