INNOVATIVE technopreneurs from 10 institutions of higher learning were honoured recently at the 6th annual MSC Malaysia-IHL Business Plan Competition awards presentation ceremony.
The ceremony saw the Lextronics team from KDU College walk away with the grand prize in the Business Plan category for their invention of the “SMS Controlled Multi Socket” plan, which allows home owners to control household appliances when away from home. The team, comprising students Joshua Yam Meng Thai and Yeoh Huey Ling, won a cash prize of RM7,000.
