Crime prevention drive in colleges


THE Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian Association of Private Colleges and Universities (MAPCU) to create awareness of crime prevention among students in private institutions of higher learning. 

The signing of the MoU, at the INTI International University College in Nilai recently, is aimed organising activities to create awareness of criminal activities in private colleges.  

It is also aimed at increasing co-ordination for the exchange of information and discussions on such activities.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili, who is also the chairman of MCPF, attended the event. 

The signatories of the MoU were MAPCU president Prof Emeritus Tengku Datuk Shamsul Bahrin and MCPF vice-chairman Datuk Henry Chin Poy Wu. 

INTI International University College senior vice-president (Academic Affairs) Senior Professor Dr Chia Swee Ping, MAPCU vice-president Prof Teo Chiang Liang, MCPF exco members Datuk Kamaruddin Md Ali and Datuk Eddy Chen were also present.
