UM honours trio for their services


TWO men who have dedicated many years of service to Universiti Malaya (UM), Tan Sri Basir Ismail and Tun Syed Zahiruddin Syed Hassan, will be awarded honorary doctorates in Economics and Law respectively at the university's convocation which begins tomorrow.  

Basir was the former chairman of UM's board of directors while Syed Zahiruddin was UM's pro-chancellor until February this year.
